Explore the great gardens of England with Garden Assessor, Molly Hendry, and learn how the key to these enchanting gardens are often the gardeners and the skill behind them. The class will explore English gardening techniques and how they can be applied here in the southern garden. Molly Hendry, Garden Assessment Project Leader, coordinates the future development planning for Birmingham Botanical Gardens through big picture Master Planning and Garden Assessments. Molly holds a B.S. in Horticulture and Masters in Landscape Architecture from Auburn University. Although native to Birmingham, Molly spent a year working in several gardens across England and Scotland as the Royal Horticultural Society’s Interchange Fellow before returning home to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in 2018.

Refunds (minus a $15 processing fee) given if notification is made at least 10 business days prior to class start date. (You are always welcome to send another person under your registration if you cannot attend.) A $15 processing fee will be charged for class transfers at any time. We reserve the right to cancel classes due to lack of participation; if we cancel a class as such, we will issue a full refund. Please be aware that we strive to hold classes regardless of weather, so plan accordingly. In the unlikely event a class has to be cancelled due to inclement weather, we will attempt to notify you, and a refund (minus a $15 processing fee) will be issued.
