SUMMARY:Yoga on the Herb Terrace
DESCRIPTION:Events\n      \n\n      \n          \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYoga on the Herb Terrace\n\n\n  \n  \n   \n\n\n\nUnwind and enjoy the sights and smells of the garden from our newly constructed Herb Terrace. In this outdoor yoga class\, Betsy Smith\, President of the American Herb Society\, will guide participants through a gentle\, all-levels yoga practice focused on posture\, flexibility\, and balance. Beginners are welcome; please bring your own mat and dress for the weather. Extra mats will be available. \n\n\n\nInstructor: Betsy Smith\n\n\n\nBetsy Smith and her husband\, Darin\, live on ten acres in Clanton\, Alabama\, with their five dogs and one cat. They have five children and eight grandchildren. She holds a doctorate degree in educational leadership from Samford University and retired in 2018 from a 32-year career in public education as a teacher and elementary school principal.  \n\n\n\nBetsy is President of The Herb Society of America (herbsociety.org) and a Chilton County Master Gardener. She also earned her Advanced Master Gardener Designation in herbs. \n\n\n\nBetsy enjoys sharing about growing and using herbs in cooking\, crafts\, and skin care. She also loves bringing fresh herbs from her garden to share with yoga students so they can delight in the fresh herbal scents during classes.  \n\n\n\n    \n                Members: $20\n                  |\n                        Nonmembers: $25\n                  \n  \n\n\n\nBecome a Friend of the Gardens and join us in our mission to protect\, nurture\, and share the wonders of Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Thank you for your support! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\nBecome a member\n\n\n\n\nCancellation & Refund Policy\n\n\n\nRefunds (minus a $15 processing fee) will be given for Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens programs priced at $25 or more if notification is made at least 10 business days prior to class start date. (You are always welcome to send another person under your registration if you cannot attend.) Transfers may be made to programs of equal value at no additional fee. We reserve the right to cancel classes due to lack of participation or other unforeseen circumstances. Please note that programs are held rain or shine; in extreme weather conditions\, programs may be canceled for your safety and the safety of staff and volunteers. If we cancel a program for any of these reasons\, we will issue a full refund.
