Visual artist and teacher David West will guide participants through “deep looking” exercises designed to sharpen their ability to see and understand natural subjects. The class opens with a brief introduction to key observational drawing concepts\, then moves into hands-on drawing exercises\, supportive feedback\, and group discussion throughout the session. Join the Friends Junior Board and designer Mary Catherine Folmar of Cotton & Quill for an afternoon of hands-on creativity as you learn the techniques for building your own seasonal table topiary. \n\n\n\nSimilar in spirit to our wreath workshops\, this class focuses on the art of topiary\, giving you the skills to create a polished\, one-of-a-kind centerpiece for your fall and Thanksgiving gatherings.
