Little Seeds: The World Beneath Our Feet
For children ages 3-7

Come join us as we explore The Gardens, plant seeds, hear stories, make crafts to take home, and help nurture a love of gardening and nature in your little ones (ages 4-5). Classes will be led by Amanda Clark, Horticulturist, and mom of 2 preschoolers. Register today for the January class or the entire series today!
January 17 - The World Beneath Our Feet- Did you know that the soil is teaming with life? Learn all about soil, where it comes from and what it does. We will talk about compositing and observe an earthworm’s “house”.
February 21 - The Wonder of Seeds- Seeds are amazing! Can you believe a giant oak tree starts as a tiny acorn? Learn all about seeds and how they grow. We will make seed balls to take home and plant.
March 14 - Water, Water, Everywhere - Water is essential to life and gardening. Learn how plants drink water and all about water in nature. We will make a decorate a soda bottle “watering can” to take home.
April 18 - Springtime in the Garden – All around us the plants are waking up from their winter slumber. Come observe signs of spring in the garden. We will gather items from nature and make sun-catchers to take home.
May 16- Mother’s Day Surprise- Enjoy a spring day in the garden where we will make a garden craft to take home in honor of Mother’s Day.
