Birmingham Botanical Gardens is currently closed.
The City of Birmingham Park and Recreation Board, which has jurisdiction over the Gardens, is currently working on its plan for reopening the Gardens with the wellness and safety of visitors, volunteers, and staff of top priority. Follow the Gardens on social media and visit our homepage to sign up to receive our e-news as the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens brings the Gardens to you virtually. We wish you good health and look forward to welcoming you back in person as soon as City and State directives allow. Thank you for your support!

Perennial Legacy Giving Circle

The Perennial Legacy Giving Circle recognizes those who have included the Gardens in their estate planning, providing gifts that extend beyond a lifetime. These special people are planting seeds for the future—seeds that will sustain the Gardens for coming generations and ensure that its important work continues.

You may become a member of the Perennial Legacy Giving Circle by notifying us that you:

  • have made a planned gift that benefits the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens;
  • have included the Friends in a future bequest;
  • or would like to make a gift of $10,000 or more to the Friends' endowment fund.

Membership is voluntary and without obligation. If you choose, you will be recognized on the Birmingham Botanical Gardens Donor Wall and acknowledged wherever we list members of the Perennial Legacy Giving Circle. You will also be invited to special gatherings at the Gardens.

For more information or to notify us of your inclusion of the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens in your estate plan, please contact Director of Development Penney Hartline at 205.414.3950, ext. 103, or [email protected].
