A cherished place of respite and inspiration for more than 55 years, Birmingham Botanical Gardens is open to all, every day of the week, and we look forward to your visit. Fall/winter hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (through March 13); spring/summer hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (March 14–November 7). Visitors are encouraged to practice social distancing. Face masks are required when interacting with others in the Gardens and for entering the Garden Center. For more information and guidelines for visiting safely, click here.

Join Scott Hofer, Public Health Engineer for the Jefferson County Department of Health’s Watershed Protection Program, as he discusses the local stormwater program and how water quality is being protected. Attendees will discover how stormwater is tested for pollutants, what pollutants you can test for at home, and who to call to report pollution when you see it.

Hosted by the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, the webinar is part of the 2021 Brown Bag Lunch & Learn Series at Birmingham Botanical Gardens and is presented in partnership with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System; the Alabama Green Industry Training Center; the Jefferson County Department of Health; Jefferson County Commission; City of Leeds, Alabama; City of Birmingham Stormwater Management; and the Storm Water Management Authority, Inc.
