The Magic of our Native Spring Wildflowers (elective)

Every year, right about the date of this class, something wonderful happens here in the southeast. Numerous species of our native wildflowers awaken and fill forest and field with a show of diverse color and form. Many of these plants are ephemeral and after displaying their spring beauty, will go dormant as the trees leaf out. Our collection of native plants at Birmingham Botanical Gardens is the largest in the state, and class participants, after learning some basics about spring ephemerals, will spend time viewing them and learning their stories. Those attending will also be able to preview the hundreds of plants that will be available at our Spring Plant Sale.
Refunds (minus a $15 processing fee) given if notification is made at least 10 business days prior to class start date. (You are always welcome to send another person under your registration if you cannot attend.) A $15 processing fee will be charged for class transfers at any time. We reserve the right to cancel classes due to lack of participation; if we cancel a class as such, we will issue a full refund. Please be aware that we strive to hold classes regardless of weather, so plan accordingly. In the unlikely event a class must be cancelled due to inclement weather, we will attempt to notify you, and a refund (minus a $15 processing fee) will be issued.
