2025 Honorees
This year’s honorees, Sallie and Jim Johnson, have spent decades championing Birmingham’s cultural and educational institutions, including the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Sallie’s 40+ years of volunteer service and leadership, paired with Jim’s steadfast support, have made them beloved ambassadors for the Gardens and its mission. Together, they believe that investing in community, nature, and learning enriches lives and strengthens the city they call home.
2025 Show Ambassador
Alabama born and Manhattan based, Keith has been a force in the interior design world for more than 30 years. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and studying at the Study Center for the History of Fine and Decorative Arts in London, he then apprenticed with design legend Mark Hampton. Keith spent 10 years with Irvine & Fleming before founding his own firm in 1990. His keen eye and ebullient talent serve well in assembling his signature rooms—those that freshly speak to the past and are brimming with luscious color, pattern, and couture detailing. Perhaps no one summed up his aesthetics more than Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who once proclaimed him to have “a sorcerer’s eye.” Keith has been a part of Antiques at the Gardens for over 15 years. He generously hosts our guests and is a trusted advisor and ambassador for the show.
