Roses for Every Garden: Which Rose Is Right for You?

Instructor Chris VanCleave
Location Hodges Room

In this follow-up to his popular spring class, “Rooted in Roses: The Journey to Beautiful Blooms,” nationally recognized rosarian Chris VanCleave helps take the guesswork out of selecting the right rose for your landscape. Learn about the major classes of garden roses, how each type grows, the forms and frequency of their blooms, maintenance requirements, and the all-important fragrance that makes roses a favorite in gardens worldwide.

With thousands of varieties available — each offering different colors, fragrances, growth habits and garden performance — choosing the perfect rose can be overwhelming. Whether you’re planting your first rose or expanding an established collection, this presentation will give you the knowledge and confidence to make informed purchasing decisions and select roses that best match your gardening style, available space and desired level of care.
