Thompson Enthusiast’s Garden

In today’s rapidly growing cities, homes often have a small outdoor space that must be used effectively to accomplish a variety of needs. The Thompson Enthusiast’s Garden was created to show how function and beauty can work together in a modest space.

Small Space Gardening

Given to Lucy Thompson by her husband, Hall Thompson, and their five children in 1987, this garden has evolved over the decades, but its mission remains the same: to demonstrate how small spaces can work hard for you while also offering a welcome retreat. Enjoy a peaceful moment under towering crape myrtles at the garden’s entrance. At the back of the garden, the white shed is a perfect illustration of how a storage space can serve your gardening needs while also providing an aesthetic backdrop for plants, pots, and trees such as a lovely espalier pear.
