Growing Microgreens: From Seed to Plate
Join Alabama Advanced Master Gardener Janell Diggs as he takes you through sowing seeds in a growing medium, caring for your crop, and harvesting tender microgreens at their peak for maximum flavor and nutrition. You’ll also discover simple culinary techniques for incorporating these vibrant, nutrient-rich greens into a variety of dishes, adding a delicious and healthy touch to your everyday cooking. Participants will take home their own microgreens kit!
Microgreens have surged in popularity as consumers seek nutrient-dense, hyper-local superfoods with ultra-fast harvest times. They offer home gardeners a simple, eco-friendly way to grow fresh, vitamin-packed produce right on a kitchen windowsill.
